NESTLED in the centre of Brisbane along Queen Street are a couple of old buildings remnant of the city's past in the late 1800s. These include the main post office, and Brisbane's first high rise building wedged next door to the left.
Queen Street follows the route cut through the forest when this area was first discovered for a settlement, which eventually became the centre of the bustling city where I now live.
In recent years enormous glass high rise buildings have towered over the older buildings, but somehow they have survived to this day.
