ON MY final evening on Moreton Island I watched the sun set from the lagoon near North Point. The stormy skies of the past few days had by now mostly cleared. A gentle breeze slightly ruffled the lagoon. As the sun set the clouds on the horizon turned an indigo colour, reflected in the surrounding landscape. The bright blues, greens and yellows of the day gave way to the deep indigo colour of the sunset before the blackness of night took over. |
