I CLIMBED Mount Arthur in the remote Tasman Mountains. Upon reaching the summit I stopped for lunch, to be joined by the spectacular Kea - the New Zealand mountain parrot.
This graceful predator dominates the harsh alpine regions of New Zealand. They thrive in the wide open spaces in some of the harshest climate in the world where life struggles on the edge and food is very hard to come by.
