ONE thing about South East Asia is the lack of road rules.
I had often seen vehicles precariously loaded with people and goods. Seeing up to seven people on one motorbike. In this case having crossed the border on a bus journey between Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh, I saw this truck rather packed full of people.
There obviously wasn't enough room for everyone, so the woman sitting at the back was sitting on a flimsy chair on the opened tray held in place only by two rusty chains. My Westernised eyes told me this was a nasty accident just waiting to happen, but here in Cambodia, this was no doubt perfectly normal.
