FOLLOWING the celebration of New Years in Tweed Heads, then again an hour later in Coolangatta, I walked along the 23km beach eventually reaching Surfer's Paradise in mid morning. I watched the moon climb overhead and sink in the western horizon just as the sun came up over the sea. Early morning runners started filling the beach under overcast skies in the early morning. |
