THE ARABIAN Desert brought on an intensely hot day. A thick haze had enveloped the city, but this did not stop me from exploring the city.
I took a tour into the old quarter along Dubai Creek. This was where the city was originally settled as a small fishing village. In the 1970s the first wave of building began to create the old quarter city. Although very young, the old quarter does look old compared to the rest of this sprawling city which has been constructed over the past ten years.
