ON THE western side of Tasman Bay is some of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches. At the southern end is Kaiteriteri, a sheltered double bay with its rugged granite headlands and turquoise water laps against the golden sand. This is by far the busiest beach in this area, being one of the few accessible by road. The surrounding hills are covered in large holiday homes rising out of the scrubby bushland. |
