SOUTH Stradbroke Island shelters the waters of Southern Moreton Bay. Here the sheltered waters run through a maze of narrow channels in between numerous mangrove islands and submerged banks. This late afternoon shot was taken from just off South Stradbroke Island looking back towards Brisbane. The sun was close to setting over the dark mangroves. Fingers of light filtered between the clouds. |
