CLIMBING Mount Ngungun with a group from my camera club - most of whom were over twenty years my senior, I wasn't going to be breaking any speed records today.
We started hiking at 9:30, much later than usual. The track was therefore rather crowded all the way up, and especially so around the summit. Fortunately though we were rewarded with some of the clearest skies I have ever seen from up here, having clear views of the almost cloudless sky to Moreton Island and to Brisbane City.
The hat, binoculars, and waterbottle belonged to a couple who had climbed half way back down the mountain before realising they had forgotten them, so they had to come all the way back up here to retrieve them.
