LAST time I was on Melbourne's South Bank was in the middle of summer of a warm sunny evening.
Tonight was a completely different story. A chill six degree southerly was blowing, the remnants of a massive winter snowstorm running up the length of the Great Dividing Range in recent days. The trees had lost their leaves in hibernation. Despite being the middle of the week in frigid conditions, there were a lot of people out and about giving life to the city.
