AN ENORMOUS thunderstorm was barrelling straight towards Brisbane, with reports of golf ball sized hailstones dropping over the Brisbane Valley. Somehow it lost almost all of its energy as it rolled over the D'Aguilar Range to produce a brilliant light show as bolts of lightning streaked across the sky in random patterns equalising the huge potential differences it would have earlier generated at its peak. |
