THE FOURTH and final day on the Waikaremoana Track brought us to Whanganui Inlet. The sky was clear allowing the lake and surrounding forest to show off its best colours. From the Whanganui Inlet we took a water taxi back out to the start of the track. Seeing the enormity of the lake and the towering Panikeri Range was very awe inspiring.
