CATCHING a bus from Wairoa back to Wellington was a straight forward exercise until the gear transmission suddenly broke down on top of a hill somewhere between Hastings and Waipara.
Fortunately all on board were in very good spirits and another bus was despatched from Napier to continue the journey, arriving in Wellington only an hour late.
These little delays are all part of the travelling experience. Fortunately my flight home won't be until tomorrow afternoon. It's always best to allow some extra time when travelling to take these things into account.
