ARRIVING in Moscow just after 4:00 AM, I was whisked away to my hotel for a few hours before meeting my guide who took me for a walking tour around the city. We started in the city centre passing the KGB headquarters before exploring Alexander Park and Red Square before following the Moscow River.
Here I am in front of the Moscow River with the magnificent Kremlin on the other side behind me.
From here we continued exploring the city along the river going away from the tourist trails until reaching a large patch of dense forest unexpected in the middle of such a large city. From there we headed across town through the metro to an outdoor museum dedicated to the cosmonauts and a huge museum dedicated to the Soviet Union.
