FOLLOWING quite a succession of very action filled days, today needed to be a quiet one. Heading out of Russia today I took one last train journey through the metro to catch the express bus to the airport, to catch two flights overnight to Kiev.
Having completed the crossing of Eurasia by rail, I decided to fly this section, heading to Munich airport in Germany in the late afternoon to await the late night flight to Kiev.
Here I am starting the journey towards Ukraine 57 metres underground in Zvenigorodskaya Station, one of the main stations of the St Petersburg Metro.
