WAVES break on the rocks from the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Coral Sea as the last hints of of the sunset left an orange haze across the cloudless sky.
I could see northward along the pristine Sunshine Coast to as far as the Noosa Heads, appearing quite distant in this wide angle shot.
The sky quickly darkened to a brilliant starfield. The sea loomed black as ink under the moonless sky, but patches of greenish phosphorescence appeared around the rocks, emitted by schools of shrimp disturbed by the breaking waves.
