EXPLORING Point Cartwright in the late afternoon I reached the lighthouse just before sunset. From there the sun set over Mooloolaba as people walked along the beach below the point and boats that had been out on the ocean for the day headed back to port up the Mooloolah River. Some smoke haze lingered from last weekend's big scrub fire behind Caloundra, creating a strong pallete of orange as the sun slipped behind the Blackall Range. |
