FOLLOWING the coast further southward from the peninsula along perhaps the remotest part of the Moreton Bay Coast, I headed across Canalpin Creek, rounded a point, and over Little Canalpin Creek to opposite the yacht club at the pointy end of Russell Island.

Returning to the section point between the two creeks and onto an elevated bank to watch the tide come in, and start to go out again, I was rewarded with some spectacular views of several large mangrove trees growing out of the water. No doubt these trees are very seldom photographed.
