TODAY is my last day in New York. I'm actually exploring what's called the High Line walk as you can see here this is railway. There used to be a bit railway network about eight to ten metres above the street. Most of it is gone now but they've left this little remnant which they've converted into a nice little walkway which is quite busy today.
They're building a whole new building development over there. There's a lot of activity around here. Once upon a time perhaps in the 1920s and 30s there used to be trains going all along here above most of the streets. Obviously that's all been replaced by the subway a long time ago, but this one little remnant remains and I'm exploring it today on this rather cold morning.
