WELL greetings from Kona on the main Hawaiian Island. I flew over here from Honolulu early this morning and have today been exploring the town. It's been very busy today with a cruise ship anchored just offshore a few hours ago and a lot of people from the cruise in town. The cruise ship has gone now so it's quite a bit quieter. I'm just relaxing by the sea with the sun about to go down. There's a little bit of rain falling with a lot of cloud covering the mountains at the moment.

I was hoping to go up Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain in the world tonight, but that had to be cancelled due to all the rain. I've rescheduled it for sunrise on Wednesday which will be even better. There is a rainbow over there so there's more rain coming. I'll stay here anyway and photograph the sunset before I head back to the hotel for the night. Otherwise it's a very beautiful area. Tomorrow I'll do a bit more exploring and the next day I'll head up the mountain.
