AFTER celebrating the new year in, I head into the Brisbane City Centre and follow the river downstream to Wilson Point to photograh the early morning city. It is still dark when I leave though as the cloud cover is thick and rain is falling. I head under the Storey Bridge and follow the path under the towering residential blocks and financial district buildings as the sky gradually lightens. People are still returning home from their now abandoned parties, but there is a lot of mess lying around from the partying. I don't get the spectacular sunrise over Kangaroo Point I had been expecting, but get plenty of good city shots in the rain.
Upon reaching Gardens Point Botanical Gardens, I explore it a little before heading back through the city centre and heading home.
