I TOOK the train down to Ormeau Station at the top of the Gold Coast to explore the lowlands and new residential areas between here and Coomera.
From the station I headed into Pimpama exploring a couple of the residential areas before following the road through farmland towards the new shopping centre and where the new Pimpama Station will soon be built.
From here I hiked over a bridge crossing the motorway to a huge new subdivision recently built over the past couple of years. This area was one of the fastest growing residential areas anywhere in Australia with entire suburbs bvbeing built to accommodate the masses of people moving here from interstate. I explored some of the parks and all the new housing, which I notice most are painted boring grey colours. I continued exploring the area until just after sunset when I arrived at the Coomera Shopping Centre, then crossed the road to the train station to head home.
