FROM Murrarie Station I head to the lookout near Gateway Bridge as thick cloud covered the area and rain threatened. From the lookout I followed the path through Marrarie Wetland then over the hill through old residential areas before heading through Murrarie Recreation Ground to Wynnum Road. Here I followed the path beside the road as rain began to fall.
Wynnum Road passed under the Gateway Motorway before continuing several kilometres towards Wynnum, where I photographed the industrial and residential areas before arriving at Wynnum North Station where I caught the next train up to Birkdale Station.
From the station I explored some of the canal estates at Birkdale and hiked through Bath Street Park and Three Paddocks Park before heading back to the station as more rain started falling.
