MY NEW inflatable kayak arrived a few days ago, so I decided to take it out for a test paddle at nearby Forgan Cove on Lake Samsonvale. The inflatable kayak works for me with being easily transportable without having to use a roof rack or a trailer.
Upon reaching the Forgan Cove, I inflated and assembled the kayak with ease having practiced at home. Then I wheeled it to the water's edge and set it afloat. The wind did push it a little bit but it was not long before I was used to it paddling into a couple of the nearby coves and enjoying the view from out here on the water - a nice change from viewing from the walking track and shore.
The park was going to close soon, so I couldn't spend much time out in the water. There were washing facilities near the car park to wash off any debris to prevent contamination in other lakes. I packed up the kayak without any problems and headed home.
