I TOOK a short afternoon walk along the banks of the South Pine River. The banks on either side were a bit eroded from the flooding that had come down earlier this year, from 1500mm in two days up at its source at Mount Glorious, and 1000mm in three days down at this end of the river. Some of the old tracks running along the river were now closed due to erosion but the main sealed paths remained intact. |
