STARTING at Dutton Park Railway Station, I passed the Boggo Road prison site and descended to the Eleanor Schonnell Bridge which I crossed to the University of Queensland.
From here I followed the Brisbane River upstream passing the university before walking along a staired walking track through thick scrubby forest until reaching Indooroopilly Golf Course. From here I followed the road continuing upstream (though now out of sight of the river) until reaching Indooroopilly Train Station.
From here I caught the train across the river getting off several stops away at Oxley Station. From here I followed a couple of steep roads along the hills until reaching the Sherwood Arboreum, a botanical garden beside the river with many threatened species of native tree. After exploring the park I continued following the roads until eventually reaching the bridge across the river leading into the centre of Indooroopilly. The sun had already set so I did some evening photography in the town centre capturing the last of the fading colours of dusk before heading home.
