THE HEAVY rain forecast arrived in the early hours of the morning. It was the first rainfall in several months as a low pressure system formed and headed down the coast. The gusty storm brought over a hundred millimetres in a few short hours, creating a small creek running along either side of the house and funneling to either side of the driveway to drain away along the street down the hill. |
