WELL GOOD morning, it's 4:20 in the morning, very early. We're actually all on the bus because we have a very long trip about 800 kilometres up to Santiago this morning. We're leaving Patagonia in the dark because the sun won't rise for another two and a half hours so we're all going to sleep the first bit and let's see how today goes.

We're now about 450 kilometres out, 350 to go to Santiago. We're stopped here at a little winery in a wine production area. Wine production is quite a big thing here in Chile. So, we're looking at the wine production facility here, and it is quite interesting and nice not being on the bus all the time.

As there is with every wine tour there is a wine tasting as well, so this is my third one. They are very nice wines here. Now I don't normally drink, so I'd better finish this video diary before I get completely drunk. Cheers.

I don't think the wine's affected me much at all. We're still doing the wine tasting at the moment. It is going very well.

We're done with the wine tasting now and I think I'm OK. We're now having lunch. We're in the process of having lunch before we head back in the bus and head back down to Santiago.

Well this is our third petrol station stop here and there's the truck back over there. There's 120 kilometres to go to Santiago. It's been 4 lane highway since just after we left this morning at 4:30. It's been four lane highway the whole way. It is now getting quite busy. It's been quite a quick trip in apart from our stop at the winery. Just one more haul to go and we're in the city of Santiago and into a bit of a culture shock.

Okay we've just arrived in Santiago and in the process of checking in. It's been a very long day with about 14 hours on the road apart from our little stop at the winery. Now we're just checking in and finding our rooms and then we're going to relax for the night for our final dinner just with pizza and things. Just very quiet, and then a free day tomorrow.

These are probably the creepiest stairs I've ever come across. I'm walking very softly but my boots are amplifying the sound a million times. You can definitely tell when someone is coming up and down. it is very intriguing. Okay let's head into the room. Creaky floors. That's the bathroom in there. It's very good. There's also this mystery room. I wonder if there is a body in there. Nope, looks safe. I think I'll definitely be hearing people when they are walking around the building tonight. But given such a long day in the bus, or truck as we've called it. There's the street out there. It's already getting dark. The twilight is getting a lot shorter. I think we are at about 32 or 33 degrees south now, so we've really advanced. I'll double check that. I'm just going to relax before dinner.

Okay back up the scary stairs we go. We've just had our farewell dinner. For the past three weeks we have all become closest of friends and now we're all off on our own different directions. Hopefully we will see each other at breakfast. In the mean time I'll just be accompanied by these poltergeists that lurk in this building. On that note, it's good night.
