Introduction to today's journey
Today's journey takes me exploring the village of Marangu, discovering a spectacular waterfall and meeting some of my fellow climbers and attending a briefing in preparation for climbing the mountain.

I have a full day free before climbing Kilimanjaro, so I spend the day exploring the rainforest around Marangu Village. |

A local guide takes me up to the base of the spectacular Marangu Falls. |

Hiking through the village I pass a little storage hut. |

Returning to the hotel, I eat well with the big climb starting tomorrow. |

The hotel has its own vege garden to produce their amazing food. |
