Introduction to today's journey
Embarking on a train journey around Uchiura Bay in Hokkaido promises a captivating exploration of Japan's northern coastal beauty. Starting from Hakodate, the train skirts along the scenic coastline, offering panoramic views of the sea on one side and spectacular volcanoes on the other. Today's journey takes me from Hakodate by train back up to Sapporo, from where I fly out towards Hanoi.
