Introduction to today's journey
THE BEAGLE Channel is a narrow fiord stretching across southern Tierra del Fuego. The land to the right is part of Argentina and the land to the left is part of Chile. The channel itself is notorious for its hidden reefs, so an experienced (and expensive) Chilean pilot needs to come on board to guide the ship through the channel to our destination in Ushuaia.
Today's journey starts heads into the Beagle Channel and follows it to our final destination in Ushuaia from where I will begin my next journey exploring the length of the Andes.
