Puffy clouds over farmland

FLYING on a daytrip down to Melbourne the plane passed over vast expanses of farmland that occupied nearly all the space between the small towns that dotted the landscape.

There were various formations of low cloud hovering perhaps a kilometre or two above these checkerechequered fields. These clouds appeared a brilliant white from above. No doubt they would appear a lot greyer viewed from the ground.
