THE ABEL Tasman National Park is known for its turquoise waters washing on the granite beaches and headlands where at high tide the water almost touches the native forest. The coast can only be travelled by boat, or by hiking along the 55 kilometre long walking track.
I took a cruise along the coast from Kaiteriteri to Totaranui then back to Bark Bay where I camped for the night in the remoteness far away from civilisation.
