AT 556 metres, Mount Beerwah is the highest of the Glasshouse Mountains. These mountains were once volcanoes erupting millions of years ago. Their cones have long since eroded away leaving only the much harder inner plugs.

The almost vertical rock face rises imposingly up to the overhangs of the Organ Pipes just below the summit.
