THE TURQUOISE waters of the Abel Tasman National Park are very inviting. Most of the land here is national park accessible only by boat or by walking track. There are a couple of small villages along the trail.
Torrent Bay is one of the villages, sitting on a sand spit about five hours walk from civilisation. The mostly holiday homes sit almost invisible nestled in amongst the kanuka scrub on the sand spit.
