THE STORM off Cape Moreton had lasted all of yesterday and today, and was showing no signs of abating. Amazingly there had only been a few short showers here on Moreton Island. Otherwise it had been sunny here. Just another ten kilometres to the east it would have been a totally different story.
The sun sank over the Glasshouse Mountains on the mainland to the west. The setting sun highlighted the towering storm clouds from which flashed the occasional peel of lightning.
Here at the campsite at North Point the air was calm but was the storm going to move over the island, or will it stay out to sea?
