TYPHOON Ketsana crossed the coast here at Danang just two weeks ago, causing devastation along the coast. Three large ships anchored offshore were washed right up onto the main beach.

Despite the devastation, the people have quickly restored their city. Although there is still a lot of mess where tsunami-like waves washed inland, most things seem to be functioning again. Repairs continue by these very hard working people.

Here a man finishes repairs to his little fishing hut in the middle of a lagoon just north of the city.
