EQUIPPED for Africa, I decided to try on all my equipment - the new boots, the thermals, the camera with the new telephoto lens, the new ski goggles, etc. etc. Thankfully it all fitted. I didn't wear it all for very long at all though. Brisbane's relatively mild winter meant that wearing all this hiking gear was getting me very hot very quickly. I assumed from this I'd be comfortable hiking the sub-zero conditions I will definitely be encountering on Mount Kilimanjaro. |
