AN EARLY morning view across the Glasshouse Mountains from the top of Wild Horse Mountain provided a spectacular view across to Mount Tibrogargan.
Little did I know at the time but just a few hours later I would be standing at the summit of this volcanic plug I considered to be too steep to attempt.
The climb was very challenging with a precipitous ascent of a ridge on all fours until finally reaching the rather placid scrub covered summit.
Some call this Gorilla Mountain due to its similarity to a gorilla's face, with two large eyes beneath the summit.
