A NEXT door neighbour once told me Mount Glorious really lives up to its name and I should visit there one day.
Well today I finally took the trip along winding road an hour west of Brisbane to visit this most beautiful place. I arrived in the early morning to get ahead of the weekend crowds. The early morning was still following the recent rain that rejuvenated the bright green vegetation. Hidden deep in the forest on my way to Green's Falls echoed the eerie warbles of the bellbirds unseen high in the forest canopy.
The sun filtered through the dense overhead canopy from which drops of rainwater fell despite the complete absence of clouds overhead.
