CRABS crawled over the rocks in search of food in the tiny pools left by the receding tide. A chill westerly breeze blew over Cartwright Point as the eastern sky began to lighten in anticipation of the sunrise.
The pre-sunrise light highlighted the exposed rocks taken with this 30 second shot to smooth out the small breaking waves.
Once the sun had risen I headed to Jensen Park in Pelican waters and walked the 25 kilometres back to Cartwright Point, following trails around headlands and estuaries, and walking along the beach.
