FOLLOWING several days of sunshine and perfectly clear skies, it suddenly turned overcast a couple of hours before the eclipse. A thin layer of cloud and a turbulent atmosphere made the last total lunar eclipse before 2018 elusive. A few small gaps appeared in the slow moving cloud. My patience finally paid off when there was enough of a gap for the moon in total eclipse to show through for just a few brief moments. |
