FROM the top of Clear Mountain the late afternoon was beginning to cast long shadows across the landscape. The pristine waters of Lake Samsonvale were framed by the forested rolling hills nestled below Mount Mee. In the distance the smoke from a burnoff shrouded the mysterious Glasshouse Mountains and the Blackall Range even further away. |
