I ATTEMPTED something totally different tonight - smoke photography. Once I worked out how to capture the smoke against a dark background, and to bring out the subtle colours of the burnt incense, it was just a matter of taking lots of shots, and experimenting with them - both in moving air movement to shape the smoke and in post-production. This created some surprising patterns like this spiral. Enhancing the smoke in post has created a fluid metallic effect that I had not expected. |
