ABOUT thirty kilometres upstream from the city centre, the mirror flat placid waters of the Brisbane River reflected the changing colours of the sunrise as the incoming tide began to flood the mud flats. This far upstream there are few access points to the river. The early morning was a pleasant walk with the temperature in the mid 20s. It was a relatively short hike today as the temperature rose quickly with the sun climbing in the sky towards its maximum of 40 degrees. |
