CONTINUING to follow the Brisbane River in a late afternoon walk from Dutton Park to Southbank, the sun set behind several buildings under construction in Toowong as I was heading past Westend.
The sky and river glowed a spectacular golden colour, the ebbing tide turning the river into liquid gold.
Hundreds of people were walking and running along the walking tracks in these spectacular riverside parks just across the river from the city. I would later find out I had missed a drunk had driving her car along the Southbank boardwalk by only ten minutes. Fortunately nobody was injured in the incident.
