I'VE arrived in Honolulu in the state of Hawaii in the United States of America, so I'm now in the US. I'm only here for a couple of hours in transit as I'm about to take the third longest domestic flight in the world all the way over to JFK airport in New York. A little bit of trivia - the longest flights go from Reunion Island out to Paris at two different airports, so this is the third longest at around 9 or 10 hours which is actually longer than the flight I have just taken out from Brisbane. I've been fortunate. It is very humid and muggy but fortunately not much wind at all as we've just had Hurricane Olivia pass through here but it's just starting to clear up so fortunately we missed that. We also missed one of two other hurricanes coming across the Pacific. Fortunately Hurricane Florence has diverted south from its original path so New York isn't going to be affected. This should be a clear flight going across. So I'd better go and check in for my next flight and I'll see you in New York tomorrow. |
