I'M HERE at Wilson Point, just near the city as you can see. Tonight is a very special night, it's our annual Riverfire fireworks night. It's still fairly early in the afternoon but everyone is jostling for the prime positions at the moment. I've been walking up and down the point here. I've got plenty of time to set up and have secured my little spot in a little area that not many people would think of but I think it would work really well. There is a little bit of storm cloud overhead but I don't think anything will come of it.
Hi everyone. The sun has just set and I have everything aimed at the bridge. There's probably another hour or so before the actual fireworks happens, waiting for the sky to get dark. There is quite a crowd up here at Wilson Point and all along the river through Kangaroo Point and all the way around to Southbank and beyond. There would be about half a million people here, but having come really early I've probably got one of the best spots along the entire river. I've never filmed or photographed the Riverfire from this end of the river before, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
