Good morning friends. Today I'm coming from just near the beach at the Sunshine Coast on The Boardwalk heading up towards Mount Coolum. There it is up there. Today I'm continuing along the track and heading up to the summit of Mount Coolum. It is a very nice fine day for it, so come join with me as I hike up Mount Coolum this morning.

Well friends I've now made it up to the summit and just past it. It is not so crowded here but that's the summit up there. Here's all the Sunshine Coast. That's the point where I started and looking up to Mudjimba Island and to Maroochydore and Point Cartwright, and to the peaks of Moreton Island in the background. I can see Cape Moreton. There's a bit of a bushfire happening over there. Then there's the Glasshouse Mountains.

Mount Coolum is one of the main points on the Sunshine Coast, one of its biggest landmarks. It is a volcanic plug similar to the Glasshouse Mountains. It is part of the chain of volcanoes going all the way from Tasmania to the top of Queensland. It was all created from a bit of movement in the plates with Australia separating out from the New Zealand plates a bit. There's a plane taking off from the airport. That's the Sunshine Coast Airport there, obviously quiet today. The track is very busy today. I think everyone is making the most of it here with the southern states in lockdown at the moment. We are really fortunate up here being really free at the moment.

Well friends, I'm back where I started on The Boardwalk. You'll be able to see the mountain behind me. I successfully climbed it again. That was my third time on the summit. This is where I will leave you today. Thanks friends for joining me once more and I'll catch you somewhere else next time. Ciao for now.
