Hello friends. Today I'm out at Deception Bay at its northern end. Just behind me here is part of the Deception Bay Conservation Park which I will be exploring sometime over the next couple of weeks but this morning I'm going to be exploring this way roughly following the coast towards Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula. This is a very interesting place to start today. These are very interesting formations that look like carved patterns in the sand but this is solid sandstone. They are very interesting formations which nobody knows exactly how they were formed all within the sandstone. It looks like mud crab holes that fills with soft sand to perhaps erode faster than the harder surrounding sand. Nobody really knows. The tide is coming in so I've only got another half hour here at the most but I'll be gone before then. Here's some very interesting formations here in this hard sandstone. I'm going to explore and photograph this area for a while before I go and continue heading up the coast up in that direction passing some wetlands to where some of the birds have migrated. Every year birds migrate from areas around Siberia and Alaska flying down through northern Asia and across the Pacific Ocean and a lot of them end up here in Moreton Bay. I haven't seen any yet so it could be a bit early in the year, but I'm coming back in a couple of weeks anyway so will check for them then. Anyway come join with me as I explore this little bit of coast.

Well friends I've now made it out to Endeavour Park in Scarborough and over there is Scarborough Point and somewhere in the distance in that direction is Deception Bay village just visible about fifteen kilometres down the coast having gone through a variety of wetlands and wetland forests and a new subdivision. It is interesting all the houses there are grey. Everyone seems to have lost their imagination these days and perhaps even the Soviets would be ashamed of that but that's the way modern houses are these days all being a boring grey. Anyway I'm out here at Scarborough and this is where I will leave you today. Thanks for joining with me today and I'll catch you somewhere else next time. Ciao for now.
